The following was taken from the
census of 1860. I will be posting the years from 1860, when the orphanage
first appeared on the census, through 1930. I was hoping to gain access to
the original records, so I could give more thorough information, however the
Archdiocese of New Orleans has informed me that it is their policy not to
release those records. Therefore, I will be posting information obtained
from the census.
